Case study: 40% faster stock turnover after moving to our inventory system

A home-goods exporter consolidated quoting, purchasing, stock and shipping into one system — cutting inventory days by 40% and nearly eliminating mis-shipments.

The client is a home-goods exporter with roughly $8M in annual exports. Quoting lived in spreadsheets, stock was counted by hand and shipping was coordinated in chat groups, so mis-shipments and overselling happened regularly.

Phase one: mapping the process

We mapped the whole chain — enquiry, sampling, purchasing, inspection and shipping — and moved scattered documents onto one data model.

Phase two: going live

Quotes, purchase orders and shipping documents are now generated in the system. Multi-warehouse stock is visible in real time, stock movements are logged automatically, and reconciliation dropped from two days to half a day.

Phase three: data in charge

Three months after launch, inventory days are down 40%, stockout alerts cut best-seller shortages by 80%, and mis-shipments are essentially gone.
